Chakana News (FEBRUARY, 25)

FEBRUARY ALREADY

The year has begun, and February carries a particular kind of energy. The pace has returned, calendars are full again, and there is a feeling of moving forward while something inside is still catching up.

At Chakana, we notice it in the way people arrive. A little tighter. A little quieter. A readiness to let go of the year that has been, and a wanting for something steady.

February invites us to tend gently to what’s underneath the momentum. To soften back into ourselves. To remember that presence, not pace, is what sustains us.

Summer lingers in the air, but emotionally, February often asks for grounding.

Our treatments this month are about restoration. About easing the nervous system, nourishing the skin, and supporting the subtle recalibration that happens when we finally slow enough to feel ourselves again.

Warm oils. Slow, intuitive touch. Moments of silence where the body is allowed to speak.

If you’ve felt a quiet fatigue beneath the busyness, or a longing to be met without needing to explain, this is your invitation.

Valentines Day Gift Vouchers

Valentine’s Day didn’t begin as a spectacle.
It began quietly, as an act of devotion. A choosing of love in a world that didn’t always make space for it.

Over time, it’s been dressed up, commercialised, narrowed into one idea of romance. But beneath it all, the meaning remains simple: to tend what we love with care.

And love, in real life, is not one thing.

For some, it’s romantic.
For others, it’s tender, complicated, grieving, or quietly unfolding.
For many, it’s a relationship with the self that’s still finding its footing.

At Chakana, we don’t measure love by gestures or labels.
We measure it by how it feels in the body.
By whether you can soften. Breathe. Rest. Be held.

With Valentine’s Day approaching on the 14th of February, we hold space for all of it.
Whether you’re gifting a partner, a dear friend, a mother, or yourself, we’re here to nurture, restore, and care for the ones you love.

Because sometimes love is best expressed not in words, but in presence.

Gift vouchers are available in-spa or online, and can be offered simply as an invitation to pause, to be cared for or to come home to the body.

Treatment Focus – Restore

There’s an intricate connection between mind, body and skin and when we calm the mind and relax the body within our treatments, the skin shines as a result.

It often takes us all a moment to shift from the mind, into sensation, but the most profound shifts happen when we do. And our role as your therapists at Chakana, is to facilitate the arrival of these shifts.

Whether it’s through sculpting massage, fascia release, sound therapy or scent, our treatments don’t just relax, they restore a sense of internal coherence.

The Restore Package is ceremony that takes the deeply hydrating Repair facial and expands it into a whole-body ritual.
It goes beyond the face and deepens through an intuitive back massage, dissolving tension held at the body’s core. Heated stones release deeper layers, softening muscles and settling the nervous system. Flow continues through the lower legs and feet, where strokes are artful.
It is a replenishment for body and spirit alike.

Product Spotlight

Cleansing is where everything begins. Our lightweight Renew cleanser is gentle, milky, and deeply nourishing. It removes impurities without stripping and transforms an everyday step into a small ritual of care.

Formulated with rosehip oil, aloe vera and cucumber, it calms sensitive or stressed skin while maintaining the skin’s natural balance. The scent is soft and grounding, with notes of orange, cedarwood and ylang-ylang that linger just long enough to feel comforting.

If cleansing has ever felt like a chore, this is your invitation to slow it down. To turn a simple moment into something restorative.

Available in-spa and online.

A Note from Mardi

The beginning of a year always feels tender to me.

There’s so much expectation about moving forward, setting intentions, doing more, and yet, what I witness every day at Chakana is how deeply people crave permission to pause.

To be quiet.
To be met without performance.
To rest in a space where nothing is required of them.

This is what guides my work, and everything we offer here.

Chakana isn’t about fixing what’s wrong. It’s about listening long enough for what’s true to emerge. About creating a space where the body can remember its own rhythm again.

Thank you for returning to us.
For trusting us with your bodies, your breath, your stories held beneath the surface.

As we step into 2026, our intention remains the same: to offer care that feels meaningful, grounded, and real.

With gratitude,
Mardi

Chakana Sound Therapy

Sound weaves quietly through our work here.

Sometimes it’s a bowl placed gently on the chest.
Sometimes a chime beside the ear.
Sometimes a full immersion that allows the nervous system to settle completely.

Sound reaches places touch alone cannot. It restores coherence, carries emotion, and creates a sense of internal spaciousness that many people haven’t felt in a long time.

Our next group Soundbath:

Sunday 22nd February – Booked out
Sunday 22 March

Spaces are limited.

Time – 10am-11.30am
Where – Chakana

And as always, make self-care a priority this month and make it a ritual of love,

Chakana xxx
