Spotlight on Simi
Our darling Simi!
A healer, a passionate bodyworker and inspired astrologer. She has devoted herself to studies in natural therapies since 1999. Endlessly honing her craft, she seeks to embrace and awaken the divine feminine in all her work. Simi’s body wisdom is vast – an accredited yoga teacher with qualifications in remedial massage, craniosacral therapies, Ayurvedic sacred stones massage, Reiki, theta healing, Hawaiian lomi lomi massage and dance movement therapy. And let’s not forget to mention her beautiful scared beauty work. Which many of you have experienced within a treatment at Chakana.
In the coming months Simi is going to be offering her very specialised Mayan abdominal Massage at Chakana. Something we are very excited about.
Mayan abdominal massage at its core is womb massage. It seeks to reconnect women, with their physical and spiritual centre—the womb. It acknowledges the womb as the centre of her power, creativity, and intuition, and works on any physical or emotional imbalances that can manifest here.
This gentle abdominal massage can facilitate healing, release blockages, realign the uterus, and restore harmony to the reproductive and digestive systems.

Mardi’s Musings
As we are soon to arrive within our 7th year at Chakana, it felt time to speak of my deepest gratitude to you all.
For your support, you consistent arrival and loyalty.
Chakana has become a place that offers so many of you a release valve. A place where together within the depths of our treatment rooms, we weave through the layers that are beyond the conscious mind.
Through touch, scent and sound comes the ascent of swirling feelings, the unspoken.
The tapestry behind the veil of what is our exterior.
The world is so bent on focusing on that exterior.. my passion lies in debunking that. By re-positioning the focus to be on our interior. Past the grey matter of your brain, past the noise, to the seat of yourself.
It’s really is quite incredible how deep simple and authentic care can reach.
What it brings up for us all.
I am reminded of a client who said to me many years ago “Mardi, no one has brushed my hair like that since my grandmother died when I was 11.
I had not realised how much I had missed it. I felt that same love and care in that treatment. Thankyou”.
I replied with a big thankyou hug. I felt as filled to brim as she did. For in giving we receive. This is universal law.
There are worlds within our world you see. Forgotten memories, forgotten dreams. That such a love can be felt, years beyond its absence simply by the stroke of a hair brush. The power of our senses.
They drive us past the conscious mind.
Visceral, truthful. To an epiphany.
To be loved is to love, and to love is to be loved.
To sit with someone as they land within their own inner silence. Their own guidance system. Beyond the external noise. And the stories we attach to everything. To their own calm. Their own centre, their very own unique inner tapestry. It is truly divine.
Hopefully we can continue to offer a doorway there, for those of you who have forgotten.
And continue to exceed the expectations of those who have not forgotten, but just need a little reminder to turn the key.
